+ WHERE AND WHEN DOES OCEAN SOUNDS TAKE PLACE?
Ocean Sounds Festival is held at the stunning Churchill Island (an island off Phillip Island), Victoria.
Our 2025 edition takes place on Saturday 11th January 2025
+ CAN I PARK THERE?
Yep. All vehicles attending must have a car pass (one per car).
Should you arrive on-site without a valid car pass as significantly higher fee will be charged to entry the site. If you are found to be parking on the side of the road with in the vicinity of the event site police will be notified and your car will be towed and impounded.
All profits from the car passes will go to Environmental initiatives on the event site and in the local area.
+ WILL THERE BE BUSES?
Yep. Local buses will available to and from the site. You can book your seat on the bus soon. For info on on the buses click here BUS INFO
+ ARE THERE ID OR MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER THE EVENT?
Ocean Sounds is an All Ages event.
Those with a 'General Admission' ticket type will be required to present a valid 18+ photo ID before their wristbands will be issued as it will allow the wristband wearer to purchase alcoholic beverages at the bars and stalls.
Youth (6-17 years) will need to purchase a Youth Ticket and Children under 5 years will need a Child Ticket. All attendees under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. While babies are, of course, welcome, please know Ocean Sounds is an outdoor event with amplified music so make sure you come appropriately prepared.

+ ARE THERE PASSOUTS / WHAT IS YOUR RE-ENTRY POLICY?
For safety reasons, once you’ve entered the festival gates, no passout’s are available.

+ HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?
$119 - Pre-Sale Adult (+ booking fee)
$124 - First Release Adult (+ booking fee)
$129 - Second Release Adult (+ booking fee)
$134 - Final Release Adult (+ booking fee)
$49 - Youth - Children Aged 6 - 17 (+ booking fee)
$10 - Child - Children aged 5 & under (+ booking fee)
$20 - Car Pass (+ booking fee)
$25 to $30 return - Buses (+ booking fee)
+ WHEN DO TICKETS GO ONSALE?
General public tickets go onsale at 8am 3rd July. If you sign up to the pre-sale you can get early access to tickets at 8am 2nd July.
+ IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY TICKETS I CAN BUY?
You can buy a maximum of 10 tickets per transaction. Please keep in mind that all tickets must match the name of the attendee.

+ DOES MY NAME NEED TO BE ON THE TICKET?
Yes! This is a security feature to protect you from fraudulent tickets or scalping. If your name is not on the ticket, please see the next question.
+ I'VE GOT A TICKET BUT MY NAME ISN'T ON IT
You’ll need to complete a name change through Moshtix. Click here and follow the easy steps.
+ HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO BUY TICKETS?
You can purchase tickets as long as you have a Moshtix account and valid credit card. All tickets holders 17 and under must be accompanied by a ticket-holding parent/legal guardian.
+ CAN I BUY A TICKET FOR SOMEONE ELSE?
Yes, however orders cannot be split up. If you purchase for someone else with multiple tickets in one order, you will have to have the ticket holders name and email address ready when purchasing. All tickets require the person’s name to be on it.
+ WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
All ticket purchases are final sales, no refunds or exchanges. The festival takes place rain or shine. If due to covid-related restrictions the event is unable to go ahead on the date planned, the event will be rescheduled for another date later in the year and all tickets will remain valid. In such a covid-related event, people who are unable to attend the new date and require a refund for that reason will be able to do so.
+ WILL THERE BE TICKETS AVALIBLE AT THE EVENT?
Judging by the interest in the event it is anticipated the event will sell out. Best to buy now to avoid being disappointed.
+ I NEED TO CHANGE THE NAME ON MY TICKET?
We get it, sometimes plans change. In order to complete a name change, you will need to login to your Moshtix account and choose the ‘name change’ option. Ticket Reissues do incur a cost. Make sure you have the name & email of the person who will be receiving the new ticket. Tickets can be reissued a max of twice.

+ WHAT TIME DO THE SHOWS START?
1pm Gates Open
Live music from approx 1:30pm
10:30pm Gates Close
Artist set times will be announced closer to the show.
+ WHAT TIME DOES THE SHOW FINISH?
About 10PM, with gates closing at 10:30pm
+ Will the event run in all weather conditions?
Yes, rain, hail or shine (lets all hope for shine) Ocean Sounds festival will go on. Ensure you check the weather forecast before leave the house and plan accordingly.
+ CAN I BRING IN CHAIRS, PICNIC BLANKETS OR RUGS?
Sure thing. Ocean Sounds is about picnic rugs, smiling friends and Australia's best live music! Please dont bring high-backed folding chairs that are likely to block another person’s view.
+ CAN I BRING DRINKS?
Ocean Sounds is strictly no BYO alcohol, and liquids (including soft-drinks, water, etc. NOTE: baby food and drinks are okay) as the event is fully licensed.
You may bring unsealed EMPTY reusable water bottles to be filled inside the festival at our free water stations. Please don’t bring glassware or glass bottles.
+ CAN I BRING FOOD
With a great range of food supplied by the amazing line-up of food trucks/stalls and local produce providers there is no need to bring your own food. Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten free food options will be available. Should you have highly specific dietary requirements we recommend bringing your own food.
As such, you can bring food (if contained in a small backpack, e.g. chips, fruit, etc.) but with lots of delicious food trucks and drink options there's no need to bring heaps of stuff.
Note - please don't bring large eskies in. Cooler bags are prefered.
+ WHAT TO BRING?
Hats, sunscreen, Insect repellent, empty reusable water bottle, folding chairs, picnic rugs, jackets, ponchos, clothing to suit the weather conditions (particularly warm clothes for the evening), your groove boots, good vibes and positive attitudes.
+ PROHIBITED ITEMS
Apart from the obvious illegal things, you CANNOT bring:
Glass & Glassware, cooking equipment, sharp cutlery, tents or shade tents, eskies, alcohol, liquids (e.g. soft drink), high back folding chairs, beach umbrellas, video or recording equipment, pets, illicit substances, bad vibes or arrogant attitudes.
+ DO I HAVE TO WEAR MY WRISTBAND THE ENTIRE TIME?
Yes, your wristband is your festival pass. If you are caught without a wristband, you will be removed from the festival. If you are caught without ever having a ticket, you will be escorted off of the property and may face a trespassing fine.
+ WHAT IS YOUR RE-ENTRY / PASSOUT POLICY?
For safety and liquor licensing reasons, once you’ve entered the festival gates, no passouts are available. That said, please see a friendly staff member if you have a specific reason you need to leave and return to the event.
+ WILL YOU BE NEEDING EVENT VOLUNTEERS?

+ WILL THERE BE VEGETARIAN, VEGAN AND GLUTEN FREE FOOD OPTIONS?
Yes! Our delicious food trucks serve food for most dietary specifications.
+ WILL THERE BE ATM'S ONSITE?
No, we advise that you bring along your paywave debit/credit card as Ocean Sounds is a cashless event.
Please note - some merchandise may be available to purchase using cash as well.
+ WHAT IS YOUR COVID POLICY?
Ocean Sounds will operate as a COVID-safe event and operate with the Victorian Government guidelines that are in-place at the time.
We’ll continue to plan for a festival in this new world, whilst also wanting to make sure it looks and feels like the Ocean Sounds experience we all love. Should anything prevent us from going ahead, we'll look to reschedule the show and if you are unable to attend the new dates, refunds will be available.

+ DO YOU HAVE A CARER / COMPANION CARD POLICY?
Yes we do. Please get in contact with Moshtix Customer Service (our ticketing provider) here and they'll be able to assist you. Send them through the companion card and the name of the person you're attending with and they'll be more than happy to help you out!
Please note - there are a significant number of events that our ticketing provided Moshtix organises. As such, there may be a delay in having your companion card request responded to. Please note that your ticket request will be actioned prior to the event. Please contact us if you have not heard back regarding your complimentary carer ticket within 10 days of the festival and we will send an urgent request on your behalf.
+ CAN I GET SOME INFORMATION ON ACCESSIBILITY?
Ocean Sounds is wheelchair accessible. There are no stairs, and there are disabled toilets on site.
There will be a dedicated Access Liaison onsite for the duration of the show to assist you as you enter and exit the festival site as well as a dedicated viewing area for those that require a comfortable place to view the stage.

+ WHAT'S THE SITE LIKE FOR GETTING AROUND?
The site is nice and relatively flat and is suitable for all ages.
+ IS THERE PARKING CLOSE TO THE SITE ENTRANCE FOR PEOPLE WITH ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS?
There are a range of accessible parking spaces located close to the festival entrance. Please contact our team at least 7 days prior to the festival and we’ll assist with further information.
